Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies and government of the country, operated by international trade and investors and assisted by information technology.
Indian Rural Society
o During the antecedent era, the tradition of joint family, one of the salient features, has been a system in Indian society generally and a structure in tribal society specifically, at present, declining trends are appearing in the pattern of joint family all over India.
o Migration and urbanization have been instilled extensively by globalization, owing to the high cost of living, persisting joint family becomes tough.
o Migration from villages of workers for searching jobs in cities is a normal phenomenon.
o Globalization has merged cultures, thereby reducing radical mindsets among humans. Although, it has also led to the decline of certain cultural aspects.
o Tribals are being integrated forcefully, which they are losing their unique cultural properties and their habitat is at risk.
o Due to new vigilance economic opportunities, over the past few years, there has been some decline towards casteism in the countryside.
Thus, Globalization, Mass Media and the effect of education encourage the current generation directly or indirectly to quit traditional social conservatism norms and taboos. Hence, social hierarchies are being influenced.
